On Thursday, ICHS students interested in pursuing an Education Career attended the 6th annual Rise & Teach Conference. Our students who are apart of The Texas 3-Step Program were recognized on stage for their participation in the pilot program expected to gain traction next year amongst other districts in the region. We are also thrilled senior; Kelby Miller was awarded a scholarship! Students heard from award winning educator and author Erin Gruwell, who inspired the movie "Freedom Writers", and participated in breakout sessions that provided more information about becoming an educator.
